Drain Care for Pet Owners
Sometimes the surgical placement of drains is necessary to allow infectious material to drain. When a cloth drain is placed, it requires care at least twice a day, to make sure that the draining site is clean, open, and protected. Watch the video and read the steps below to prepare for your pet’s at-home drain care.
Diabetic Care
Diabetes Mellitus results from inadequate production of insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas. Insulin makes the sugar (glucose) in the bloodstream go into the body's cells.
Subcutaneous Injections
Part of your pet’s treatment may include medications that are only available in injectable form, or are more effective in their injectable form. Many injections can be given under the skin, which is called subcutaneous injection, often abbreviated as SQ injection.
