Dr. MacKnight is a longtime Montgomery County resident, having grown up in Bethesda, MD.
She decided she wanted to be a vet at seven years old and never changed her mind. After earning her B.S. at the University of Maryland (College Park), she moved across the pond to attend veterinary school at the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. She misses the castles, bagpipes, and Highland cattle, but she is very happy to be back home in Maryland and a part of the LVP team. Her clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine
Outside of work, Dr. MacKnight enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever, Wendy, and her brown tabby cat, Chandler. She also dances salsa, sings, and is working on polishing her rusty French.
