Do you know which diseases your cat needs to be protected against?

Regardless of their lifestyle, all cats should receive the feline core vaccines (Rabies and Distemper). Some cats should also be vaccinated against Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), a highly contagious virus is easily shared among cats which can cause fatal diseases, such as leukemia, lymphoma and anemia, to develop.

Because of the highly contagious nature of this disease, as well as its severity, we recommend that the following cats be vaccinated against FeLV:

  • Kittens - to boost immunity (even if their lifestyle is indoors-only)

  • Cats that live outdoors

  • Cats that are "indoors-outdoors" or spend part of their time outside

  • Cats that frequently escape the house

  • Cats that may come into contact with other, unvaccinated cats
