Emergency + Critical Care

If your pet is experiencing an emergency, call us as soon as possible at (301) 948-0158.

For emergencies that fall outside of our business hours, see our referral page for a list of nearby 24-hour hospitals

Sometimes we examine patients who require hospitalization to receive adequate treatment of their symptoms. Our hospital includes separate dog and cat wards, as well as an intensive care unit (ICU), and is staffed by experienced technicians who are trained to administer treatments, monitor symptoms and assess for discomfort. Though we are not an overnight facility, we do have a technician who lives on the premises who provides late night treatments and can check in on hospitalized patients.

Our hospital is equipped to treat patients requiring:

  • Intravenous catheterization
